Brewers signed LHP Josh Maciejewski to a minor league contract.

Maciejewski heads to Triple-A Nashville as extra left-handed depth for Milwaukee after pitching well in four relief appearances last year with the Yankees. The 29-year-old southpaw doesn’t miss a ton of bats, but teams never seem to have enough quality lefties in the pipeline.

Yankees sent LHP Josh Maciejewski outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Maciejewski was designated for assignment to make room for Anthony Rizzo on the Yankees 40-man roster. He allowed two runs and struck out seven batters in seven innings over four appearances with New York this year. Maciejewski will need to be added back to the 40-man roster before he can return to the majors. He’ll serve as minor league depth for the Yankees in the meantime.

Yankees optioned LHP Josh Maciejewski to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The 28-year-old hurler absorbed some damage for the Yankees on Saturday, giving up two runs on three hits and a walk over three innings against the Rays. Expect the Yankees to call up a fresh arm to replace him prior to Sunday’s ballgame.

Yankees selected the contract of LHP Josh Maciejewski from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Maciejewski was designated for assignment back in April, but he stayed in the organization after going unclaimed on waivers. He’s added back to the 40-man and active roster, and Phil Bickford was designated for assignment in the corresponding move. Maciejewski won’t provide any fantasy relevance as a middle-inning option.
