Braves activated INF Kyle Farmer from the 10-day injured list.

Farmer spent time at catcher during his rehab assignment in an effort to give Atlanta some additional flexibility in an emergency. He’s been out since mid-May with a forearm strain. The 35-year-old veteran can be safely ignored in all fantasy formats.

Kyle Farmer (forearm) will begin his rehab assignment at Double-A Columbus on Tuesday.

Farmer landed on the injured list with a forearm strain back on May 18th. With Ha-Seong Kim struggling and Jorge Mateo hitting .120 in June, there is a chance for Farmer to come back and push for a spot on the active roster in a few weeks.

Braves placed INF Kyle Farmer on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 16, with a right forearm strain.

No word yet regarding how much time Farmer will miss. The 35-year-old bench infielder has appeared in only 10 games for the Braves this season.

Braves signed 1B Dominic Smith and and INF Kyle Farmer to one-year contracts.

Both Smith and Farmer had opt-outs in their minor league contracts with Atlanta so they’ve been officially added to the club’s active roster. Smith figures to get some opportunities at DH while Farmer will occupy a reserve role as a utility infielder.

Kyle Farmer went 3-for-3 with an RBI against the Yankees as the Braves’ DH on Friday.

For better or worse, Farmer is looking like a pretty good bet to make the Braves with Ha-Seong Kim on the injured list. He’s 13-for-27 this spring after hitting just .227/.280/.365 in 300 plate appearances for the Rockies this spring.

Braves signed INF Kyle Farmer to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Farmer hit just .227/.280/.365 with eight home runs in 300 plate appearances for the Rockies in 2025 before his $4 million team option was declined. He has been a useful bench piece for a few years since he can play anywhere on the field and is a .247 career hitter. He’ll try to win a spot on Atlanta’s bench.

Rockies declined their half of a mutual option with INF Kyle Farmer.

Farmer, who would have been in line for $4 million, gets a $750,000 buyout. The 35-year-old utilityman seemed pretty well done as a useful player with the Twins in 2024, but the Rockies committed $3.25 million to him anyway and watched him hit .227/.280/.365 in 300 plate appearances. He’ll almost certainly have to take a minor league contract if he wants to keep playing.

Tyler Freeman was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mariners with lower back tightness.

It’ll be Kyle Farmer taking over at DH with Mickey Moniak moving up to the leadoff spot.

Warming Bernabel (knee, quad) is out of the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Cubs.

Bernabel will get an extra day of rest after exiting Saturday’s contest with knee and quad bruises stemming from a foul ball incident. The 23-year-old rookie will be replaced by veteran Kyle Farmer at the cold corner.

Kyle Farmer hit a solo home run while going 3-for-4 in a blowout loss Thursday to the Diamondbacks.

Farmer’s homer was the sixth of the season and brought in the only run the Rockies would score off a surprisingly effective Eduardo Rodriguez. The veteran infielder got off to a nice start to his 2025 season, but even after this solid game he’s hitting a less-than-desirable .227/.280/.360. He’s the definition of a player who provides more real-life value than fantasy.
