Leo Rosales (foot), out since the end of April, appears to be around six weeks from returning to the Diamondbacks.
Rosales had surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot, but now appears to be slowly progressing toward resuming baseball activities. Though he struggled at the major league level last year, Rosales was solid at Triple-A Reno, where he was 2-1 with a 1.40 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP in 19 1/3 innings of work. If he can bring that kind of effectiveness to the majors, he’ll be a big boon to the Diamondbacks’ shaky bullpen.

Diamondbacks acquried RHP Leo Rosales from the Padres for outfielder Scott Hairston.
This would seem to clear the way for Carlos Quentin to rejoin the Diamondbacks. Diamondbacks GM Josh Byrnes seemed to believe in Hairston, but carrying him as a reserve just didn’t work out and sending him back to Triple-A was impossible. In return for Hairston, the Diamondbacks get a decent relief prospect. Rosales, 26, had a 3.28 ERA and 14 saves in 27 2/3 innings for Triple-A Portland. His fastball is mediocre, so he’s not viewed as much more than a middle reliever.

Leo Rosales, who the Diamondbacks just acquired last week in a trade for Scott Hairston, will undergo surgery to repair a broken hand.
Rosales should be healthy for spring training where he will compete for a spot in the major league bullpen.

Leo Rosales made his second appearance in the MPL on Sunday, throwing 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
He also pitched a scoreless inning Thursday. The Diamondbacks wanted Rosales from the Padres in the Scott Hairston trade in late July even though they knew he’d miss the rest of the year with a broken hand. He could contend for a bullpen spot in spring training.

Diamondbacks optioned RHP Leo Rosales to Triple-A Reno.
Rosales has a 5.40 ERA and a 10/6 K/BB ratio in 16 2/3 innings with the Diamondbacks this season. He’ll probably be right back up the next time the club requires some relief depth.

Diamondbacks optioned RHP Leo Rosales top Triple-A Reno.
This move corresponds to the team’s claiming of Blaine Boyer off waivers on Monday. Rosales posted a 5.40 ERA and a 1.267 WHIP in 15 innings after being recalled in early May. He’ll likely be back up the next time the team needs a middle reliever.

Diamondbacks recalled Leo Rosales from Triple-A Reno.
The move was made after Arizona placed Tom Gordon on the disabled list. Rosales is off to a great start in the minors with a 0.90 ERA and 0.80 WHIP through 10 innings.

Diamondbacks recalled RHP Leo Rosales to Triple-A Reno.
The D’Backs decided to juggle their bullpen, sending Doug Slaten down. Rosales had a 1.40 ERA in 17 games in Triple-A. This will be his third stint with the team. He offers no fantasy value.

Diamondbacks recalled RHP Leo Rosales from Triple-A Tucson.
Rosales had a 4.01 ERA in 24 2/3 innings before being sent down Friday. He’ll pitch mostly when the Diamondbacks are behind.
