Cerny

Cerny, 25, is the player the Astros received from the Phillies in exchange for Garrett Stubbs in 2021. He’s an excellent basestealer with some pop, but making contact has always been an issue for him. He was hitting .168/.247/.231 in Double-A this season. He came in at .211/.301/.394 with 16 homers and 32 steals in 34 attempts between High-A and Double-a last year.

Cerny was a 10th-round pick of the Phillies back in June and slashed .200/.349/.286 over 35 at-bats in the low minors this past season. The 22-year-old outfielder will give the Astros some additional organizational outfield depth as a long-term lottery ticket.
