Rays signed 1B Logan Davidson to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Davidson batted ,167 (7-for-42) with one homer and four RBI across 19 games between the Athletics and Angels this past season. The 27-year-old augments Tampa Bay’s first base depth behind Jonathan Aranda heading into next season.
  • LAA 3rd Baseman #21
Angels sent INF Logan Davidson outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Davidson is now off the 40-man roster. The 27-year-old hit .167 in a brief cup of joe with the Angels and Athletics in 2025.
  • LAA 3rd Baseman #21
Angels optioned 1B Logan Davidson to Triple-A Salt Lake.
With Nolan Schanuel (wrist) returning from the injured list on Friday someone had to get the boot to clear a spot on the active roster and Davidson was the odd man out this time around. The 27-year-old has hit .167 (7-for-42) with one homer, four RBI and a 22/3 K/BB ratio in 47 plate appearances between the Angels and Athletics.
  • LAA 3rd Baseman #21
Logan Davidson hit a solo homer in an extra-inning loss to the Mariners on Thursday.
It took 15 games and many years in the minors, but Davidson finally has his first MLB homer. He scorched it, too, as it traveled over 422 feet on a pitch from Bryce Miller in the third inning. Davidson is basically auditioning to be a utility man going forward. More homers couldn’t hurt.
  • LAA 3rd Baseman #6
Angels claimed Logan Davidson off waivers from the Astros.
Davidson was removed from the 40-man roster by the Astros, and now the former first-round pick has a new home. He could see time with the Angels before the end of the year, but time is obviously running out.
  • HOU 3rd Baseman #6
Astros designated INF Logan Davidson for assignment.
The Astros needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster for the return of Logan Davidson on Monday and unfortunately Davidson drew the short straw this time around. The 27-year-old slugger has spent most of the season at the Triple-A level where he has slashed .250/.385/.395 with 10 homers and 51 RBI. He could pique another team’s interest on waivers.
  • HOU Shortstop #6
Astros claimed INF Logan Davidson off waivers from the Athletics and optioned him to Triple-A Sugar Land.
Davidson was waived by the Athletics on Wednesday, and the former first-round pick has a new home two days later. He’s on the 40-man roster, so he could be an option as a bench player for Houston before the end of 2025.
  • ATH Shortstop #6
Athletics designated INF Logan Davidson for assignment.
Davidson was awful in a short stint with the A’s, and the former first-round pick is booted off the 40-man roster to clear room for Ben Bowden on the 40-man roster. If Davidson goes unclaimed, he’ll likely report back to Triple-A Las Vegas.
  • ATH Shortstop #6
Athletics optioned INF Logan Davidson to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Davidson went 3-for-20 with 12 strikeouts during a nine-game stint with the Athletics. The move clears a spot on the active roster for top prospect Nick Kurtz to return for Monday’s contest against the Angels.
  • ATH Shortstop #6
Logan Davidson went 2-for-3 with a two-run double and a run scored on Sunday, as the Athletics rallied to beat the Phillies.
Davidson struck out in his lone plate appearance in his big league debut on Saturday. He then got his first hit out of the way in the first inning on Sunday, smacking a two-run double off of Jesús Luzardo that increased the A’s early advantage to 3-0. Davidson also singled in the third inning and worked a walk in the eighth. He started at first base with Nick Kurtz (hip) sidelined on Sunday and could see increased action there in the coming days.
