Lefty Matt Perisho has set a new career high with three wins, and he’s earned each of them by facing just one batter.
That’s seven pitches = three victories. ''It blows my mind,’' said Perisho. Ours too. But we’re not recommending Perisho as our sleeper candidate for more vulture wins.

The Mets and Braves have expressed interest in non-tendered left-hander Matt Perisho.
Mayve every team outside the NL East can only remember how bad Perisho was prior to last season. The Marlins did make a bid to keep Perisho before non-tendering him on Monday, but they might have offered him less than $500,000. “There wasn’t a lot of time to think about it, so I went with my gut on what was best for my family,” Perisho said.

Red Sox signed LHP Matt Perisho to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Pawtucket.
Perisho held lefties to a .207 average last year, but that figure jumped to .346 before the Marlins sent him down two months into this season. If he pitches well for Pawtucket, he should be added to Boston’s pen for the final month.

Marlins re-signed LHP Matt Perisho to a one-year, $475,000 contract.
Perisho was non-tendered by the Marlins last month after the team initially offered him $425,000. He’s getting a little more than that now. Lefties hit just .207 off him last season.

Matt Perisho is dealing with lingering soreness in his back and morning headaches as a result of a serious car collision on Feb. 4.
He considers himself fortunate. The accident ejected his six-year-old son from the car, but the child was left with only cuts and bruises. One of the occupants of the other vehicle is in an induced coma after suffering a broken neck. Perisho will compete for a spot in Florida’s bullpen this spring.

Matt Perisho, who has been pitching well for the PawSox, could be added to the Red Sox 40-man roster when Mike Remlinger clears waivers Wednesday.
Perisho, held lefties to a .207 average last year, but struggled in two months with the Florida Marlins this season.

Red Sox purchased the contract of LHP Matt Perisho from Triple-A Pawtucket.
In addition to activating Keith Foulke and calling up Perisho, the Red Sox are also officially activating Chad Harville today, giving them three additional pitchers. Perisho had allowed three runs in 13 innings since joining Pawtucket. He’ll be another lefty specialist.

Red Sox released LHP Matt Perisho.
If the Red Sox were willing to do this, why didn’t they bring up Hyzdu several days ago? Perisho gave up a hit to the only batter he faced and was charged with an earned run in his only appearance with the Red Sox.
