Darrell-Hicks passed through waivers unclaimed after being removed from Pittsburgh’s 40-man roster last week. The 27-year-old righty posted an inflated 7.45 ERA over 9 2/3 innings over seven appearances between the Pirates and Angels.

Darnell was claimed off waivers last month after undergoing hip surgery back in August. Darrell-Hicks posted an inflated 7.45 ERA over 9 2/3 innings over seven appearances split between the Angels and Pirates this past season as a rookie.

The 27-year-old right-hander appeared in seven games out of the Pirates’ bullpen, registering a 7.45 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and an 8/4 K/BB ratio over 9 2/3 innings of work. He’ll continue to refine his craft at the Triple-A level until another opportunity arises with the Pirates.

Darrell-Hicks joins Pittsburgh’s bullpen mix prior to Tuesday’s game against the Brewers. The 27-year-old rookie righty was claimed off waivers earlier this month by the Pirates after posting a lackluster 9.39 ERA across 7 2/3 innings (sic appearances) for the Angels. He’ll operate in middle relief situations and can be safely ignored in all fantasy formats.

The 27-year-old hurler had been designated for assignment last weekend. He posted a 9.39 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and a 6/4 K/BB ratio across 7 2/3 innings with the Halos. Darrell-Hicks will add extra bullpen depth in the upper minors for the Pirates.

The Angels needed to clear a spot on the club’s 40-man roster for the addition of LaMonte Wade Jr. on Sunday and unfortunately Darrell-Hicks was the odd man out this time around. The 27-year-old right-hander appeared in six games with the Halos, registering a 9.39 ERA, 1.83 WHIP and a 6/4 K/BB ratio over 7 2/3 innings. There’s a decent chance that he’ll pass through waivers unclaimed and continue to function as extra bullpen depth for the Angels.

Darrell-Hicks returns to the minors just a couple days after being summoned to bolster Los Angeles’ bullpen. The 27-year-old rookie has been hit hard in six relief appearances this season at the highest level.

The Angels are able to call up Darrell-Hicks a little over a week after being demoted to Triple-A because he’s replacing Garrett McDaniels (biceps) with McDaniels hitting the injured list. Darrell-Hicks will be a middle-inning option in this stint with the Halos.

Darrell-Hicks has made five relief appearances this season for the Angels and figures to be up-and-down as emergency relief depth over the next few months.

He’ll take the place of the injured Ben Joyce (shoulder) in the Angels’ bullpen. Darrell-Hicks spent one day with the Angels last weekend but didn’t appear in a game. He’s expected to be utilized in a middle relief role this time around.
