The relief hot stove is burning now.

Darren O’Day agreed to a four-year, $31 million free agent contract with the Orioles early Sunday morning, and now Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reports that Ryan Madson has reached a three-year, $22 million deal with the A’s.

That’s a nice payday for a guy who didn’t make an appearance at the major league level between 2012-2014 due to elbow problems. He revitalized his career this past season in Kansas City, posting a 2.13 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in 63 1/3 innings before making nine postseason appearances along the Royals’ World Series run.

The 35-year-old will likely work as a setup man in Oakland.
