Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley registered the third six-hit game of the season, but it wasn’t enough for the Dodgers as they lost 6-4 to the Orioles on Wednesday afternoon.

Utley singled to lead off the bottom of the first inning and later scored on a Justin Turner home run. He doubled in the fifth and scored on an Adrian Gonzalez single, singled to lead off the seventh and was stranded, doubled in the eighth and was stranded, singled to lead off the 11th and was stranded, and singled in the 13th and was stranded.

With the performance, Utley brought his triple-slash line up to .270/.349/.387 with five home runs and 27 RBI in 318 plate appearances.

Utley is the first Dodger with a six-hit game since Shawn Green did so in his four-homer game on May 23, 2002. He’s the first player with six hits in a loss since Jean Segura, then with the Brewers, on May 28, 2013.

Jonathan Schoop broke a 4-4 tie in the 14th inning with a two-out, two-run double off of Chris Hatcher.
