Blue Jays center fielder Colby Rasmus was pulled from Tuesday’s loss to the Royals after jamming his right wrist on two different defensive plays.
Rasmus hasn’t appeared in a game since and the wrist is apparently showing no signs of progress.
From Shi Davidi of Canada’s Sportsnet comes word that the promising 25-year-old outfielder could be placed on the 15-day disabled list if the lack of improvement continues through the weekend.
Rasmus is batting .216/.239/.398 with three homers, 10 total extra-base hits and 12 RBI through his first 92 plate appearances with Toronto. He was a .259/.334/.444 hitter during his two-plus seasons in St. Louis.
