Dexter Fowler appears to have the market cornered on tasteful championship celebrations. According to a report by TMZ.com, the Cubs’ outfielder gifted his teammates and club personnel with 108 customized bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch following the Cubs’ historic clinch.

Each bottle was engraved with a special message to commemorate the Cubs’ impressive run: “101 Years Later. Fly the W. 2016.” Manager Joe Maddon received a second bottle that read, “Embrace the Target,” a nod to the skipper’s mantra that began well before the 2016 season.

I decided to give everyone a special gift to thank them for their unwavering support and commitment to our success: engraved bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label,” Fowler said. “I figured 108 bottles was the right number and I’m honored to give them to my teammates, brothers, coaches, front office and everyone involved to mark this amazing achievement.

It’s been a whirlwind celebration for the Cubs, who commemorated their championship with a record-setting World Series parade on Friday, drawing over five million people to the streets of Chicago. For Fowler, at least, it has also been a fitting farewell to the World Series champs, as he is rumored to be seeking free agency again in the 2016 offseason.
