As first reported by Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Dodgers have signed outfielder Jordan Schafer to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. The deal will play Schafer a $1 million salary while he is in the major leagues, if he ever does reach the major league level with Los Angeles.

Schafer batted just .217/.250/.261 across 74 plate appearances last season with the Twins before suffering an MCL sprain in his right knee.

For his career, the 29-year-old is a .228/.308/.307 major league hitter.
