The Angels beat the Twins last night, 5-4. The victory over the worst team in the American League, combined with the A’s loss, catapulted the Angels from last place to second-to-last place in the AL West and brought their record to a lofty 28-37.

Hip hop artist Flo Rida was in Anaheim last night to do a postgame concert at Angels Stadium following the game. He would have none of my implied disdain for the quality of the win or the quality of the teams which competed for the victory in this contest. No, to him it was superlative:

Epic (ep-ic) noun -- a long poem, typically one derived from ancient oral tradition, narrating the deeds and adventures of heroic or legendary figures or the history of a nation.

So yes, it was exactly that. Now let us tell tales of Kole Calhoun around the campfire and revel in the glory of 6/14/16 now and forever, my children.
