Information is still trickling in on this. Here’s’s Andrew Baggarly:

A uniformed Giant is down on the ground during BP, apparently injured. Half the team gathering around.

First base coach Roberto Kelly walking very slowly off field, braced by two trainers.

Giants now continuing BP and only sound is thwack of bat. Total silence otherwise here. — Andrew Baggarly (@CSNBaggs) October 13, 2012

Amy Gutierrez, in-game reporter for CSN Bay Area, has a little more:

Posey was hitting in cage when ball hit #sfgiants 1B coach Roberto Kelly. Posey just left to check on him.

Per #sfgiants Kelly is on his way to hospital. Likely concussion & will receive standard CT scan. He is alert and doing ok considering.

We’ll update the situation throughout the evening as more news becomes available. The Giants will kick off their best-of-seven NLCS against the Cardinals on Sunday night at San Francisco’s AT&T Park.
