The Minnesota Twins won just 70 games last season and missed the playoffs for the fourth time in five years. With first-year Twins’ manager Derek Shelton in charge, Minnesota looks to rebound in 2026. However, injuries to their pitching staff and inconsistent play from their replacements have been a major challenge for the club.
The Diamondbacks look to return to the playoffs for the first time since reaching the World Series in 2023. Despite owning one of the best records in the league among teams below .500 this season, Arizona has struggled to produce offensively.
Matt Vasgersian will be joined on the MLB Sunday Leadoff call of Twins-Diamondbacks by five-time All-Star outfielder Luis Gonzalez, former Twins infielder Trevor Plouffe, and reporter Caroline Pineda.
