On Wednesday, Baseball America’s Matt Eddy reported that pitcher Jeff Manship signed a minor league deal with the Indians. Manship had elected free agency in October.

Manship, 29, spent the 2014 season with the Phillies after signing a minor league contract. He served exclusively out of the bullpen in low-leverage situations, but still finished with an unsightly 6.65 ERA and 16/14 K/BB ratio in 23 innings. In 25 1/3 innings with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, the right-hander posted a 4.62 ERA with a 21/18 K/BB ratio. The Phillies outrighted him in July.
