MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy reports that a man was apprehended shortly after breaking into Miller Park, home of the Brewers, on Tuesday morning. The Brewers said the man caused “minor damage” to the playing field.

In a statement, the Brewers said, “At approximately 7 AM this morning, an unarmed individual illegally entered Miller Park and gained access to the playing surface. He was apprehended a short time later by law enforcement after causing minor damage to the field. As this involves an ongoing investigation, we unfortunately cannot provide additional details at this time.”

According to someone McCalvy spoke with, the break-in is believed to be isolated and not in any way related to the ongoing nationwide protests following the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police.
