Major League Baseball announced on Monday that Blue Jays reliever Roberto Osuna has had his administrative leave extended again, this time through May 28. Osuna’s administrative leave was extended last week. Two weeks ago, he was charged with assaulting a woman on an off-day.

MLB is investigating the incident. Most likely, Osuna will be suspended and fined, which can happen whether or not he is convicted at his court appearance on June 18.

Prior to the incident, Osuna accrued nine saves with a 2.93 ERA anda 13/1 K/BB ratio in 15 1/3 innings. The Jays have lost eight of their last 10 games and one of those two wins was a walk-off, so there haven’t been many save situations. Tyler Clippard was the last Jay to record a save back on May 9.
