It took until his fifth professional start, but Orioles prospect and 2011 first-round pick Dylan Bundy finally gave up a hit.

Prior to yesterday low Single-A hitters were 0-for-39 against Bundy. That ended when he gave up a single to lead off the game, but then Bundy erased him on a double play and went on to throw four scoreless innings without allowing another hit.

That means through five starts hitters are 1-for-50 with two walks and 25 strikeouts versus Bundy, who has a 0.00 ERA in 17 innings at age 19.

Selected fourth overall in last year’s draft out of an Oklahoma high school, Bundy signed for a $6.25 million bonus and now has a strong argument for being the best prospect in the minors following call-ups for Bryce Harper and Mike Trout.
