Play of the Day: Anthony Rizzo makes an unbelievable catch in foul territory

Milwaukee Brewers v Chicago Cubs - Game Two

CHICAGO, IL - AUGUST 16: Anthony Rizzo #44 of the Chicago Cubs celebrates after making a catch for an out against the Milwaukee Brewers while standing on the wall during the fifth inning as fans cheer in game two of a double header at Wrigley Field on August 16, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois. Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo made one of the best snags you’ll see a first baseman make on Tuesday night during the second game of their doubleheader against the Brewers at Wrigley Field.

In the top of the fifth inning, Brewers outfielder Keon Broxton fouled a Jason Hammel pitch off to the right side. First baseman Anthony Rizzo gave chase, then stood on top of the short wall along the first base side, just in front of the tarp -- cleats and all. Maintaining his balance somehow, Rizzo followed the ball into his glove and returned safely to ground level for the out.

We’ll be seeing this in various “plays of the year” montages in about a month and a half.
