Kansas City’s bullpen has an MLB-best 1.00 ERA this season and now the Royals are getting their stud closer back, with Greg Holland expected to come off the disabled list Wednesday.
Holland has been out since April 18 with a strained pectoral muscle and Wade Davis stepped into the closer role in his absence, saving five games with a 0.00 ERA.
Prior to being shut down Holland had thrown four scoreless innings, giving him a 2.16 ERA with 12.4 strikeouts per nine innings in 265 total appearances since debuting in 2010.
