Tigers right-hander Shane Greene allowed just one earned run over his first 23 innings (three starts) this season, but the wheels quickly fell off from there and now his 2015 ends with injury ...

Shane Greene will have surgery tomorrow, according to Brad Ausmus. He’s expected to be ready for next spring training.

Greene will have surgery on shoulder to address the circumflex artery, which had been causing pseudoaneurysm in his hand.

Greene had been experiencing numbness in his pitching hand for several weeks. It’s good news that he finally got to the root of the problem and he should be at full strength for the start of camp next spring.

The 26-year-old wound up with a brutal 6.88 ERA in 83 2/3 total frames this season.
