Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain showed off his Gold Glove-caliber defense in the bottom of the first inning of Tuesday’s game against the Orioles. The Royals had already fallen behind 4-0 and had only one out with a runner on first base when Pedro Alvarez stepped to the plate.

Alvarez swung at the first pitch he saw from Yordano Ventura, driving it to left-center field for what looked like a two-run home run. Cain chased after it, lunged, and snagged the ball to bring it back from over the fence.

The Orioles tacked on one more run in the second, then the Royals were able to scratch out a run of their own in the fourth.
