Video: Nolan Arenado joins the 40-homer club with a grand slam

Rockies third baseman joined the 40-homer club on Saturday night, blasting a grand slam with no outs in the first inning against the Dodgers. He drove a 2-2 Brett Anderson fastball to straightaway center field at Coors Field, staking the Rockies to an early 4-0 lead.

Arenado is the first Rockie to hit 40 home runs since Todd Helton hit 49 in 2001. He’s the sixth member of the 40-homer club in baseball this season. Along with the 40 dingers, Arenado is hitting .283/.318/.564 with 121 RBI.
