    Campbell was pushed off the 40-man roster in Miami and ultimately passed through waivers unclaimed. The 27-year-old righty underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery this past August and probably won’t be ready for live action again until the beginning of the 2024 campaign.

Pop held his own in the majors last year, posting a serviceable 4.12 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 51/24 K/BB ratio across 54 2/3 innings (50 appearances).

    The Marlins’ options of LHPs Braxton Garrett and Daniel Castano and RHP Paul Campbell have been revoked.
    With the expectation that teams will be allowed to carry 28 on their roster for the first month of the season, Major League Baseball is allowing the Marlins to bring the three pitchers back to major league camp. They’ll be back Saturday.
