Walcott is the big name here, and the infielder had no shot of making the Opening Day roster even before his internal brace surgery last week that will keep him out for most — if not all — of the 2026 season. He is one of the best prospects in the sport, however, and it’d be a mistake for fantasy managers to not continue to roster him in keeper formats.

Martin provides the Rangers with some additional infield depth entering next season after hitting .258/.348/.369 with three homers and 25 steals in 303 plate appearances over 79 games for Triple-A Round Rock this past season. The soon-to-be 31-year-old journeyman got into 170 games for the Orioles from 2019-2022.

Martin hasn’t appeared in the big leagues since the 2022 campaign when he got into 13 games for the Orioles. The 30-year-old middle infielder fortifies the Rangers’ organizational depth after a strong 22-game stint with the Gastonia Ghost Peppers of the independent Atlantic League.

The 29-year-old infielder had been in Angels’ camp as a non-roster invitee, but he’s now free to explore other options. It’s unclear if he has something else lined up with another team — or perhaps overseas — but we should hear more in the coming days.

Martin last appeared in the big leagues during the 2022 season when he got into 13 contests for the Orioles. The 29-year-old former first-round pick from the 2015 MLB Draft simply hasn’t hit enough to merit consideration as an everyday option at the highest level. However, his defensive versatility might give him a shot to make it back to the majors in a bench role with Los Angeles.

Martin spent his spring training in Reds’ camp, but he was released at the end of March after he failed to make the big league club. The 28-year-old will add middle infield depth for the Nationals at Triple-A Rochester.

Martin signed a minor league contract back in January with the Reds and didn’t end up making their Opening Day roster. the 28-year-old middle infielder has opted to test the free agent waters rather than report to Triple-A Louisville.

The latest batch of cuts trims the Reds’ camp roster to just 45 players. Guerrero, Herget and Duarte represent organizational relief depth, while Martin is also likely to stick around at Triple-A Louisville as extra depth.

Martin remains a slick-fielding shortstop, but hasn’t hit at all in the majors, batting .212/.261/.311 with seven homers and 13 steals across 447 career plate appearances since 2019. The 28-year-old middle infielder, who got into just 13 contests last season for the Orioles, bolsters Cincinnati’s organizational depth heading into the 2023 season. He doesn’t project to make much of an impact for fantasy managers in the future.

Martin, 27, played 13 games with the Orioles in 2022, and has hit just .212/.261/.311 in his time in the majors. He’ll provide organizational depth for whatever team he signs with.
