Mets acquired C Ronald Hernández and INF Marco Hernández from the Marlins for RHP David Robertson.
Hernandez is the ancillary component of the deal as he’s just 19 years old and is currently playing for Miami’s Rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate. He’s at least a few years away from making any sort of impact for the Mets, who already have their long-term solution at the catcher spot.
