Dodgers RHP prospect Tommy Bergjans scattered two hits and an unearned run over 6 2/3 innings Sunday in a win for High-A Rancho Cucamonga.
It was an efficient effort for Bergjans, who needed just 74 pitches to navigate 6 2/3 innings. Sunday was the right-hander’s longest start since May 1 when he logged a season-high eight innings in a loss to High Desert. The victory snapped a 20-game winless streak for Bergjans, who last won on April 26. Despite his underwhelming 3-13 record, the 23-year-old ranks second in the California League with 133 strikeouts this season.
