Rangers optioned RHP Emiliano Teodo to Triple-A Round Rock and RHP Winston Santos to Double-A Frisco; reassigned RHP Nabil Crismatt, RHP Declan Cronin, OF Trevor Hauver to minor league camp.
Teodo is coming off a disappointing 2025 season where he dealt with injury and an inability to throw strikes, but he has an electric arm and could help Texas before the end of 2026. Crismatt likely has an opt-out, so he’ll have a choice to either report to Triple-A or elect free agency.

Trevor Hauver swatted his second home run of the Cactus League season on Sunday as the Rangers fell to the Cubs.
Hauver tagged Keegan Thompson for a solo shot in the fifth inning on Sunday, increasing the Rangers’ lead to 3-0. He finished the day 1-for-2 and is now 3-for-5 (.600) with a pair of homers to begin Cactus League play. If he keeps hitting like this, he could challenge for a reserve spot on the club’s Opening Day bench.

Trevor Hauver doubled and drove in both of the Rangers runs in Friday’s Cactus League loss to the Royals.
The 26-year-old infielder made the most of his only plate appearance in the ballgame, smacking a game-tying two-run double off of Austin Cox in the eighth inning. That would unfortunately be the extent of the Rangers’ offense in the game. Hauver — a third-round selection by the Yankees from the 2020 draft class — slashed .247/.360/.425 with 11 long balls and 60 RBI in 420 plate appearances at Triple-A Round Rock in 2024. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him break through and see some action in the big leagues at some point during the 2025 season.

Rangers acquired INF Trevor Hauver from the Yankees as part of the Joey Gallo trade.
Hauver was drafted as an outfielder last summer out of Arizona State University, but he had been strictly playing second base (and one game at third base) this season for the Yankees’ affiliate in the Low-A Southeast while batting .288/.455/.498 with nine home runs and 49 RBI in 66 games.
