    Giants released RHP Trevor Hildenberger.
Hildenberger was cut loose last week after allowing 12 runs (10 earned) on 10 hits with a 4/9 K/BB ratio across 5 2/3 innings (five appearances, one start) for Triple-A Sacramento. The 32-year-old righty hasn’t appeared in the majors since the 2021 season when he made two relief appearances for the Mets.

Giants optioned OF Heliot Ramos to Triple-A Sacramento; reassigned INF Armando Alvarez, OF Vaun Brown, OF Clint Coulter, RHP Nick Duron, INF Tyler Fitzgerald, C Ricardo Genovés, RHP Trevor Hildenberger and LHP Erik Miller to minor league camp.
It’d be nice to see Hildenberger reemerge as a useful reliever, but no one here is particularly likely to make much of an impact in San Francisco this season. Ramos made his major league debut last April, but he’s not yet ready for the majors after hitting .227/.305/.349 in 108 games Triple-A last season.

Giants re-signed RHP Trevor Hildenberger to minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Hildenberger hasn’t appeared in the majors since making a pair of relief appearances for the Mets during the 2021 campaign. The 32-year-old righty made just four appearances (one start) last year for Triple-A Sacramento. He’s merely extra organizational relief depth at this stage of his career.

Giants re-signed RHP Trevor Hildenberger to a minor league contract.
Hildenberger made two appearances with the Mets last season and posted a 4.70 ERA over 18 relief appearances and two starts with the Giants’ Triple-A affiliate. The 30-year-old is a possible bullpen option for San Francisco going into 2022.

Giants sent RHP Trevor Hildenberger outright to Triple-A Sacramento.
Hildenberger was designated for assignment by San Francisco last week and passed through waivers unclaimed. The 30-year-old reliever holds a career 5.52 ERA in 133 2/3 innings at the MLB level.

Giants designated RHP Trevor Hildenberger for assignment.
The Giants needed to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for Nick Tropeano and Hildenberger drew the short straw. The 30-year-old right-hander has been lit up for four runs through 2 1/3 innings this season (15.43 ERA). There’s a good chance he’ll pass through waivers without being claimed.

Giants claimed RHP Trevor Hildenberger off waivers from the Mets; optioned him to Triple-A Sacramento.
Hildenberger was designated for assignment by New York last week after allowing four earned runs over 2 1/3 innings of relief. The 30-year-old right-hander will be organizational bullpen depth for San Francisco.

Mets designated RHP Trevor Hildenberger for assignment.
The Mets needed to clear a roster spot for infielder Jake Hager, so Hildenberger has been removed from the 40-man roster. The 30-year-old righty allowed four runs on three hits with a 3/3 K/BB ratio over 2 1/3 innings at the major-league level this season. He’s pitched extremely well at Triple-A Syracuse recently, so there’s a strong possibility that he’s scooped up off the waiver wire by another organization in need of relief help.
