Tyler Pill pitched 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball against the Brewers in his first major league start Tuesday.
Pill struck out four, which is unusually high for him. He allowed six hits and walked three. A groundball pitcher, he’s going to give up a lot of contact in front of an infield that’s not known for its range. We’d suggest staying away in NL-only leagues.

MLB.com’s Anthony DiComo reports that Mets pitching prospect Tyler Pill will join the club in Pittsburgh.
It seems likely that he would be used out of the bullpen, although that’s not clear at the moment. Pill, who turns 27 next Monday, holds a 1.60 ERA across nine starts this season between Double- and Triple-A, although it’s come with just 26 strikeouts across 56 1/3 innings. He was not ranked before the season by MLB.com among the Mets’ top 30 prospects.

Mets purchased the contract of RHP Tyler Pill from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Pill, who turns 27 next Monday, holds a 1.60 ERA across nine starts this season between Double- and Triple-A, although it’s come with just 26 strikeouts across 56 1/3 innings. He’ll be available in long relief for now but is a candidate to start next week. Pill will be making his major league debut when he gets into a game.

Tyler Pill will make a spot start Wednesday in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.
The Dodgers had planned to use Rafael Montero, but he was needed in relief Monday. Pill holds a 3.75 ERA and 8/4 K/BB ratio over four appearances -- two starts -- for the Mets this season. He’s a poor streaming option.

According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, Tyler Pill is the “frontrunner” to start Tuesday against the Brewers.
Mets manager Terry Collins has yet to make an official decision, but all signs point to Pill making his big league debut Tuesday at Citi Field. Pill has compiled an elite 1.60 ERA over nine minor league starts this year but it’s come with an underwhelming 4.15 K/9. He’ll have a tough assignment against the Brewers, who rank in the top-10 in nearly every offensive category.

Tyler Pill allowed five runs -- three earned -- over five innings Sunday in a loss to the Pirates.
Pill struck out four and didn’t walk a batter, but he allowed eight hits over his five frames and was victimized by some ugly defense. Michael Conforto made two different errors in the outfield. Pill, a 27-year-old rookie, now has a 4.09 ERA and 1.73 WHIP over two starts and one relief appearance at the major league level.

Mets manager Terry Collins confirmed Sunday that both Steven Matz (elbow) and Seth Lugo (elbow) will make starts next weekend in Atlanta.
One of them will start during Saturday’s doubleheader (with Robert Gsellman getting the other game), while the other will take the ball Sunday. Matz will obviously hold down a rotation spot for as long as he can stay healthy, while Lugo could potentially transition to the bullpen after next weekend depending on how things go in Atlanta. Gsellman holds a 2.95 ERA over his last three starts, so the desire to replace him in the rotation would seem to be less urgent than it was a couple weeks ago. Tyler Pill is also currently occupying a rotation spot, but he’ll be sent down or move to long relief after Sunday’s outing versus the Pirates. Matz and Lugo have both been out all season with elbow injuries.

Tyler Pill will start Tuesday against the Brewers.
That was the expectation, but it’s now official. Pill pitched two-thirds of an inning in relief in his major league debut Saturday against the Pirates. The 27-year-old posted a 1.96 ERA through seven starts in Triple-A this year, though he struck out just 23 batters in 46 innings. He can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Mets optioned RHP Tyler Pill to Triple-A Las Vegas.
He was sent down to make room for Sunday’s starting pitcher, Seth Lugo. Pill showed some promise during his first stint in the big leagues, logging a respectable 3.75 ERA over four outings including two starts. He’ll be back in the majors at some point this summer.

Mets recalled RHP Tyler Pill from Triple-A Las Vegas.
Pill will be making a spot start for the Mets when they take on the Dodgers Wednesday evening. In four appearances (including two starts) with the big league team this season, he holds a 3.75 ERA. He makes for a poor streaming option, particularly given the match-up against a red-hot Dodgers offense.
