No word yet on whether or not the 29-year-old right-hander will also receive an invite to spring training, though it is likely. Reininger pitched in 25 games at the big league level for the Tigers during the 2019 season, compiling an 8.68 ERA, 2.14 WHIP and 17/16 K/BB ratio over 28 innings of work. He’ll function as organizational bullpen depth for the A’s.

Reininger surrendered 28 runs -- 27 earned -- over 28 innings of work this season for an ERA of 8.68. The 26-year-old right-hander is now off the Tigers’ 40-man roster.

This was a bullpen game for the Tigers, and Reininger was making his first start in the majors after 22 relief appearances this season. He’s sporting a 9.00 ERA in 26 innings, giving him a career mark of 8.21 in 57 innings since he debuted with the Tigers in 2017. He’s probably going to be cut from the 40-man roster after the season.

Reininger will return to the Tigers’ bullpen on Tuesday night in Kansas City and figures to work as a low-leverage reliever down the stretch. He has allowed 20 earned runs over 20 1/3 innings this year in the bigs.

The right-hander continues to shuttle back and forth from Triple-A whenever the Tigers need a fresh arm. A corresponding move will be announced prior to Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays.

Reininger will return to the Detroit bullpen ahead of Wednesday night’s game against the Indians. The 26-year-old right-hander holds a wretched 8.00 ERA and 2.06 WHIP in 18 innings this season at the MLB level.

The 26-year-old hurler has been knocked around in 17 appearances with the Tigers, registering a brutal 8.00 ERA and 2.06 WHIP across 18 innings. Carlos Torres will take his place in the Tigers’ bullpen.

Reininger will be available out of the Detroit bullpen for Monday night’s series opener against the Astros. The 26-year-old right-hander has allowed 11 earned runs in 6 2/3 innings this season in the majors.

A corresponding move will come on Friday. Reininger took it on the chin Thursday, serving up four hits including two homers in a loss to the Angels. He’s been outclassed in the big leagues so far, submitting a hideous 14.85 ERA over six relief outings this season.

Reininger has made just one appearance at the major league level this season. The 26-year-old right-hander will be available out of the Tigers’ bullpen on Friday night against the White Sox.
