MOUNT MORRIS, Pennsylvania: Cole Davies (2:04.283) posted the fastest lap in both qualification sessions of the High Point National and will have the best gate pick for Moto 1.
Davies lap of 2:04.433 was two-tenths of a second faster than Levi Kitchen (2:04.460), who also improved in his second session and landed second overall.
Ryder DiFrancesco (2:05.012) was also consistently fast with the third-best time in each session.
Fourth-place Julien Beaumer (2:05.293) and Seth Hammaker (2:05.406) rounded out the top five.
Kitchen and Hammaker currently share the red plate as they are tied in points. Someone will leave with the advantage this week and Kitchen had the early advantage.
Michael Mosiman (2:05.413) was fourth fastest in the first session, but slipped back to sixth in the final rundown.
In his second race back from injury, Drew Adams (2:05.852) was eighth.
