Multi-year sponsorship extension for Tommy Baldwin Racing, Toy State

Tommy Baldwin Racing announced on Tuesday a multi-year extension with Toy State as a key sponsor. The team also revealed its new colors in this photo.

One day after Toy State became an official NASCAR licensee, the company announced Tuesday that it has renewed its sponsorship with Tommy Baldwin Racing, which enters its eighth season in the Sprint Cup Series in 2016.

In a press conference at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina, Toy State and team owner Tommy Baldwin announced that the new agreement is a multi-year deal.

According to a report by, the agreement will be for 13 races in 2016 and 17 in 2017.

“It’s a nice way to start the New Year off,” Baldwin said, per “To have a company like Toy State with all their different brands of toys and Nikko radio controlled cars as well. It’s cool because it brings a lot of color to our race team with all that they have going on.”

TBR also announced it will be part of an alliance with Richard Childress Racing and ECR engines in 2016.

“We have hired a lot of really, really good people to join already the good people that we have for next year,” Baldwin said. “We are rebuilding our whole fleet and updating to the latest greatest thing that we need. It’s a very exciting time for me.”

Last season, Toy State sponsored TBR’s No. 7 Chevrolet in the Sprint Cup Series for 10 races. The car was driven by Alex Bowman, who returns to TBR for 2016, as well.

Toy State produces radio-controlled toy vehicles that are known for their style and lights and sound.
