Amari Williams produced 23 points (7-of-9 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in Friday’s win over the Raptors.

After appearing in 22 NBA games as a rookie, Williams is once again on a two-way contract. And with the Celtics giving Neemias Queta an extension and signing Mitchell Robinson in free agency, earning consistent rotation minutes will be a challenge. However, Williams played well in his first action of this summer league, an encouraging development for the Celtics as they move forward after the Jaylen Brown trade.

Nikola Vučević (finger) has been ruled out against the Magic on Sunday.

Vučević will be sidelined for this game, as expected. The Celtics already clinched the No. 2 seed in the East, so he’ll get some extra rest before the playoffs. Amari Williams should play a significant role down low.

Neemias Queta (thumb) is out for Monday’s game against the Hawks.

Initially doubtful due to a lingering thumb injury, Queta will not be available for the Celtics’ second game in as many nights. Luka Garza is the likely replacement in the starting lineup, and he would be worth streaming if thrust into that role. Amari Williams, who has spent most of the season in the G League, may sneak into the back end of the rotation, but he is not worth streaming.

Marc Stein reported the Celtics signed Amari Williams to a two-year, $2.7 million contract.

Boston selected Williams with the 46th pick last summer and initially signed him to a two-way deal. He has been solid and has earned a standard deal with the team. Most of his rookie year has been in the G League, though he does have two starts for the Celtics under his belt. However, with Nikola Vucevic now in town, he’ll likely remain just a depth piece this season.

Neemias Queta (illness) is available for Friday’s game against the Kings.

After sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Hawks, Queta is good to go for Friday night. Amari Williams started against Atlanta but only played 15 minutes, with Luka Garza logging 24 minutes off the bench. Williams has been sent to the G League, so he will be inactive, which bodes well for Queta’s playing time.

Neemias Queta (illness) is probable for Friday’s game against the Kings.

Queta was held out of Wednesday’s loss to the Hawks, leading to Amari Williams getting another start. However, the rookie played only 15 minutes, while Luka Garza played 24 off the bench. Neither Williams nor Garza is worth rostering in redraft leagues when Queta is available.

Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Jaylen Brown, Sam Hauser and Amari Williams will start Wednesday’s game against the Hawks.

With Neemias Queta (illness) out, the Celtics will turn to Williams to fill the resulting void. While not a great fantasy option, the rookie has done well as a screener within the Celtics’ offense. The other four starters are unchanged.

Neemias Queta (illness) is out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Hawks, and Luka Garza (illness) is available.

Queta appeared in Monday’s win over Portland, but Amari Williams started. With Queta out of action and Luka Garza back after sitting out on Monday, Williams could see his role reduced in favor of Garza. The pair will pick up the slack for Queta, though neither Garza nor Williams are worth streaming outside of deep fantasy leagues.

Neemias Queta (illness) is doubtful to play against the Hawks on Wednesday.

Queta has been on the injury report with an illness ahead of Boston’s last few games, but he hasn’t missed any time. However, he is expected to miss this game. Amari Williams started in his place on Saturday even though Queta played, so Williams will have a good chance to return to the starting unit against Atlanta.

Amari Williams finished Monday’s win over the Trail Blazers with nine points (3-of-8 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocked shots.

With Luka Garza (ankle) unavailable, Williams remained in the Celtics’ rotation on Monday. And this matchup led to the rookie playing more than starter Neemias Queta (four points, four rebounds, five assists and one blocked shot), who logged 22 minutes to Williams’ 26. Following the game, Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla cited Williams’ abilities as a screener as one of the reasons for his increased playing time. The rookie’s recent increase in playing time won’t significantly affect redraft leagues. Still, dynasty league managers should keep an eye on him, even if Williams is on a two-way deal.
