Franz Wagner (ankle) is out for Monday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Monday’s game will be the third that Wagner has missed, with the description being changed from “left ankle soreness” to “high left ankle sprain injury management.” Before Saturday’s loss to the Cavaliers, Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley said Wagner did some light, non-contact shooting during the pregame shootaround. As long as Wagner is out, Anthony Black will start, and he should be rostered in standard leagues.
  • ORL Forward #22
Franz Wagner (ankle) has been ruled out against the Cavaliers on Saturday.
Wagner will miss a second straight game after playing just two games following a 16-game absence. Anthony Black will remain a starter despite Jalen Suggs (knee) being upgraded to probable. They’ll continue to manage this injury as he recovers, but it is slightly alarming that he will miss two games this quickly. Black has been productive as a fill-in.
  • ORL Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (knee) is questionable for Thursday’s matchup with the Hornets.
Suggs has a chance to return following a seventh straight absence, and he may see a minutes restriction if he’s cleared to take the court. Suggs’ return will negatively impact the fantasy impact of Tyus Jones and Tristan da Silva, but Anthony Black has played too well to see a major dropoff.
  • ORL Guard #0
Anthony Black finished Sunday’s loss to the Grizzlies with 19 points, two rebounds, six assists and two three-pointers across 37 minutes.
Blak has been surging lately, and Sunday’s final tally - albeit in a loss - was another strong performance. The young guard didn’t offer another highlight-reel dunk over four defenders, but he led his team in the scoring department and posted solid peripheral numbers. If he’s somehow still available on the waiver wire, make sure to get him on your roster.
  • ORL Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (knee) has been ruled out against the Grizzlies on Sunday.
Suggs will miss a seventh straight game, which means the Anthony Black train will continue to roll on. Black should remain in the starting lineup for at least one more game, and he’ll look to extend his streak of 20-point games to four.
  • ORL Guard #0
Anthony Black accounted for 21 points (7-of-13 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, seven assists, one steal and four three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Grizzlies.
While Franz Wagner was back in the lineup after a 16-game absence, his return did not negatively affect Black’s opportunities. The third-year guard was excellent during the second half, helping Orlando bounce back from a slow start. Black shot 4-of-6 from the field in the third quarter, and in the fourth, provided one of the dunks of the season. His fantasy value should be fine until Jalen Suggs returns from injury, and it’s going to take a lot to decrease Black’s opportunities, given how well he’s played.
  • ORL Forward #22
Franz Wagner (ankle) is off the injury report for Thursday’s matchup with the Grizzlies in Berlin.
Wagner has missed 16 straight games, but the German forward will be back in action for this international matchup. Tristan da Silva should see a reduction in playing time and usage, but Wagner may be on a minutes restriction after so much time on the sideline. Anthony Black is worth holding, as he has played well enough to remain in the rotation regardless of Wagner’s health.
  • ORL Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (knee) is out for Thursday’s matchup with the Grizzlies.
Suggs is getting closer to a return, but he’s not quite there, and he’ll be sidelined for Orlando’s tilt with Memphis in Berlin. While Suggs is out, Anthony Black should continue to see extended run.

Anthony Black finished Sunday’s win over the Pelicans with 26 points (9-of-10 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), five rebounds, seven assists, three steals and three three-pointers.
Black has been one of Orlando’s fantasy standouts, especially since Franz Wagner was lost to an ankle injury in early December. The point guard put forth another stellar effort on Sunday, missing one shot from the field and finishing a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Orlando only plays on Thursday and Sunday of Week 13 due to its trip to Europe for two games, but fantasy managers must hold onto Black.

Anthony Black had 21 points (7-of-12 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, four assists and three three-pointers against the 76ers on Friday.
Black had back-to-back games with five and six points entering play Friday. With Jalen Suggs (knee) still out, Black is a must-have player. His fantasy managers can breathe easy after Friday’s effort as Black managed to tally 21 points in the loss. The 21-year-old point guard averaged 18.9 points per game in December so it’s a good sign to see him get back to that level of scoring.
