Eyenga

We doubt you noticed he was gone, but consider the forward day-to-day for now.

Eyenga is part of the Ramon Sessions trade and is an interesting prospect for the Lakers to bring aboard. Despite his athleticism, he’s not a threat to garner serious playing time right now.

Eyenga needs the development and has no chance of cracking the Lakers’ rotation, so the move makes sense.

Eyenga has appeared in just six games for Cleveland this season.

This is directly related to the Metta World Peace suspension, but don’t expect much from Eyenga.

Eyenga has missed seven straight games and appeared in just six games all year. He’ll back up Alonzo Gee and Omri Casspi at the small forward spot.

Eyenga will get some rehab work in as he comes off his toe injury. The swingman has appeared in just six games for the Cavs all season.

Eyenga was reportedly sent down due to “questionable practice habits,” and he’s averaging a mere 8.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in his first four games. It’s surprising after his impressive rookie campaign, when in 18 starts he averaged 8.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks in 26 minutes per game.

Byron Scott is not happy with Eyenga’s progress and his play during training camp, and the Cavs can afford to send him down with Omri Casspi and Anthony Carter on the roster. Hopefully he’ll get on the right track as the season progresses.

Eyenga has played in just a single minute of action over Cleveland’s first five games of the season. He’ll get some much needed playing time in the D-League.
