Javon Small contributed 11 points (4-of-6 FGs), two rebounds, nine assists, two steals and three three-pointers against the Thunder on Saturday.

The 48th pick in 2025, Small took on a larger role than expected during his first season with the Grizzlies due to the various injuries the team faced at the point guard position. Now, he was able to showcase more of those playmaking chops during his first summer league game. He may end up playing a smaller role this season, but if he gets the chance, he can certainly make a fantasy impact as a source of assists.

Javon Small (thigh) is available for Sunday’s game against the Rockets.

Small was also available for Friday’s loss to the Jazz, but got a DNP-CD as the Grizzlies played just a six-man rotation. There’s no telling whether he’ll play or not heading into the regular season finale.

Javon Small (thigh) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Rockets.

Small was available for Friday’s loss to the Jazz, but he received a DNP-CD on a night when Memphis played just six players. Even if he’s made available for Sunday, there’s no guarantee that the two-way guard gets onto the court.

Javon Small (thigh) is available to play against the Jazz on Friday.

Memphis will be without Walter Clayton Jr., Cam Spencer and Ty Jerome for this game, which means Small should be the primary point guard option for this game. He’ll return from a three-game absence and should see a hefty workload.

Walter Clayton Jr. (hip) has been ruled out against the Jazz on Friday.

Clayton will be unavailable for this game, which will leave Memphis quite thin at point guard. Javon Small should get the starting nod and play significant minutes with Cam Spencer and Ty Jerome out as well.

Javon Small (thigh) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Jazz.

Small has missed the Grizzlies’ last three games with a thigh contusion. Given how shorthanded the Grizzlies are, he should play significant minutes if available on Friday. Lucas Williamson has provided depth on the perimeter recently, and he’ll remain in the rotation if Small plays.

Javon Small (thigh) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets.

Wednesday’s game will be the third that Small has missed due to a left thigh contusion. With Ty Jerome and Cam Spencer also out, Walter Clayton Jr., Dariq Whitehead and Lucas Williamson should play plenty against the Nuggets.

Javon Small (thigh) is out for Monday’s game against the Cavaliers.

Small will miss a second consecutive game as he deals with a left thigh contusion. Cam Spencer is available, so he’ll provide depth at the point guard position along with Walter Clayton Jr.

Javon Small (thigh) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bucks.

Small joins the long list of Grizzlies guards who will not be available for Sunday’s game. If Walter Clayton Jr. (hip) can play after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Raptors, he’s likely to be the starting point guard. If not, Dariq Whitehead and Lucas Williamson may have to fill the void. There’s no need to stream either of them in that scenario.

Javon Small added 14 points (5-of-11 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, four assists and two three-pointers in the loss to the Raptors on Friday.

Small struggled from beyond the arc on Friday but used strong two-point scoring to work his way into double figures as a scorer. The rookie guard also made an impact on the glass in his 27 minutes during the blowout loss. Small has proven himself to be a quality lead guard following the All-Star Break. He’ll have a chance to put up another solid line against the Bucks on Sunday.
