Lamar Stevens tallied 31 points (14-of-25 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, three assists and two three-pointers in 36 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Mavericks.
Memphis entered Sunday knowing it would be in the play-in tournament. So, the team rested most of its rotation players, freeing up opportunities for guys like Stevens. He took advantage of his chance, recording his first 30-point game. Stevens’s inability to stick in the NBA makes him a non-factor in fantasy basketball, but days like Sunday will keep him on teams’ radars. The Grizzlies will visit Golden State on Tuesday, with the winner receiving the seventh seed and the loser having to play the Sacramento/Dallas winner for the eighth seed.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #24
Cam Spencer, Vince Williams Jr., Lamar Stevens, GG Jackson and Marvin Bagley III will start Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
The Grizzlies have rested their entire starting five and a few key reserves for Sunday’s game, as they’re locked into Tuesday’s 7 vs. 8 matchup in the play-in tournament. Of the five starters, Williams and Jackson offer the highest ceilings for active fantasy leagues, but Stevens, Bagley and Spencer are worth a look in deeper formats.
  • MEM Power Forward #7
Santi Aldama (ankle) and Luke Kennard (knee) have been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Mavericks.
Aldama and Kennard will sit on Sunday like a slew of other key Grizzlies players. Cam Spencer, Lamar Stevens, and GG Jackson will get an opportunity to shine on Sunday against Dallas.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #8
Lamar Stevens (shoulder) is available for Thursday’s game against the Thunder.
Stevens is returning from a three-game absence due to a shoulder injury. John Konchar and Vince Williams Jr. are likely to see fewer minutes with Stevens available, but that doesn’t significantly impact fantasy basketball.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #8
Lamar Stevens (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Thunder.
Stevens has missed the Grizzlies’ last three games with a shoulder injury. His absence frees up additional minutes for John Konchar and Vince Williams Jr., but neither’s fantasy ceiling has been raised. Fantasy managers can leave them on the waiver wire.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #8
Lamar Stevens (shoulder) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Jazz.
Stevens remains out for another game, which means that reserves John Konchar and Vince Williams Jr. will get a few more minutes. Those players offer limited streaming value in their current roles.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #8
Lamar Stevens (shoulder) is doubtful to play against the Jazz on Tuesday.
Stevens is expected to miss another game, but the doubtful tag does mean that he is getting closer to a return. John Konchar and Vince Williams Jr. should continue to see a few extra minutes with Stevens sidelined.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #8
Lamar Stevens (shoulder) has been ruled out against the Clippers on Friday.
Memphis signed Stevens through the rest of the season after initially having him play on two 10-day deals. His continued absence will continue to open up a few extra minutes for John Konchar and Vince Williams Jr.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #8
Lamar Stevens (shoulder) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Stevens’ second 10-day contract is winding down, and his absence will not significantly impact fantasy basketball. Leave him on the waiver wire.
  • MEM Power Forward #13
Jaren Jackson Jr. (ankle) is doubtful to return to Monday’s game against the Hawks.
Jackson was injured during the first quarter, landing awkwardly after attempting to block a shot. His left ankle injury will likely end JJJ’s night prematurely, which means more playing time for GG Jackson and Lamar Stevens. GG has a better chance of providing value if Jaren misses time, especially if Santi Aldama remains out.
