Mouhamed Gueye (hip) is available to return to Monday’s Game 2 against the Knicks.
Gueye suffered a right hip contusion during the first quarter, resulting in Tony Bradley playing six minutes in his stead. While Gueye has not offered much production when on the floor, he’s needed due to Atlanta’s lack of frontcourt depth.

Mouhamed Gueye (hip) is questionable for Monday’s Game 2 against the Knicks.
Gueye fell hard on his right hip after attempting to complete a dunk during the first quarter. The Hawks’ forward remained down on the court for a few minutes before slowly walking back to the locker room. Tony Bradley has entered the rotation and will likely stay there if Gueye can’t return.
  • ATL Forward-Center #17
Onyeka Okongwu (knee) is out for Monday’s Game 2 against the Knicks.
Okongwu’s inflamed right knee will not keep him out of Monday’s game, with the Hawks needing a win to even the series at one game apiece. Mouhamed Gueye will remain in the backup center role, while Tony Bradley may pick up another DNP-CD.

Onyeka Okongwu (knee) is questionable for Monday’s Game 2 against the Knicks.
Okongwu, who logged 37 minutes in Saturday’s series-opening defeat, is dealing with inflammation in his right knee. With Jock Landale (ankle) likely out for the series, the Hawks can ill afford to lose Okongwu. Mouhamed Gueye would see his minutes increase if Okongwu sits, and Tony Bradley may enter the rotation after being a DNP-CD in Game 1.

Jock Landale (ankle) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Landale will miss the first round of the playoffs. The 30-year-old center sustained a high ankle sprain against the Magic on April 1 and has progressed in his rehabilitation, but isn’t ready to return yet. Mo Gueye and Tony Bradley will be the backup center options for the Hawks in their series against the Knicks.

Mouhamed Gueye (shoulder) is available for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Gueye was initially listed as questionable with right shoulder inflammation, but has been cleared to play against the Heat on Sunday. The 23-year-old power forward’s availability is certainly a positive for the Hawks as it will give them 10 active players. Gueye is an option to start with the Hawks missing all five starters.

Mouhamed Gueye (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Gueye is a new addition to the Hawks’ injury report due to right shoulder inflammation. If he can play, Gueye may start because the Hawks’ entire starting five is out. However, if he can’t go, that opens the door for Tony Bradley to start.
  • ATL Forward-Center #17
Onyeka Okongwu (finger) is out for Sunday’s game against the Heat.
Okongwu will sit out Sunday’s regular-season finale, joining the Hawks’ other four starters on the sidelines. If Mouhamed Gueye can play, he would move into the starting center role. However, he’s questionable with a shoulder injury. Tony Bradley would be the next man up if Gueye sits.

Jock Landale (ankle) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Landale has been diagnosed with a high right ankle sprain sustained during the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s win over the Magic. With the two-week timeline being for a re-evaluation, the veteran backup is not guaranteed to be available when the playoffs begin. Landale’s injury leaves Mouhamed Gueye to serve as the backup center in the short term. As for the playoffs, starter Onyeka Okongwu will likely be asked to take on a heavier workload if Landale is not back by then.
  • ATL Center #31
Jock Landale (ankle) accumulated eight points (3-of-4 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), one rebound, one assist and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s win over the Magic.
Landale injured his right ankle during the fourth quarter when he was fouled from behind by Orlando’s Goga Bitadze. While he did remain in the game to attempt his free throws, Landale exited immediately afterward and did not return. He’ll get imaging done on the ankle, but it’s possible that he won’t be available for Friday’s game in Brooklyn. If Landale sits, Mouhamed Gueye (two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 11 minutes) would move into the backup center role.
