It’s become abundantly clear that Atlanta’s offense will continue to run through Johnson even with Trae Young back in the mix. He’s eclipsed 20 points in seven of his last nine games since December 18. The 24-year-old rising star has contributed first-round fantasy value this season, averaging 24.0 points, 10.2 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.5 blocks through 33 games. The Hawks are in line for a rematch against the Raptors on Monday before facing the Pelicans, Nuggets and Warriors to close out a four-game week.
Dyson Daniels

Dyson Daniels posted 20 points (9-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, 12 assists, two steals and two blocks over 34 minutes during Saturday’s loss to the Raptors.

Daniels put together one of his strongest shooting performances of the season, draining all seven of his first-half attempts while also dishing out seven assists during that span. He cooled off considerably in the second half, going just 2-of-6 from the floor. The 22-year-old defensive wizard’s numbers have been down considerably from a steals standpoint from last year, but he’s still delivered seventh-round value for fantasy purposes, averaging 11.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.9 steals and 0.6 blocks through 36 games.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Nickeil Alexander-Walker accumulated 31 points (10-of-19, 5-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, three assists and two steals over 35 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Raptors.

Alexander-Walker knocked down 6-of-11 from three-point range and took 18 shots or more for the eighth time in his last 11 games since December 14. The 27-year-old guard has seen an uptick in scoring opportunities with Trae Young (quad) sidelined. The Hawks will square off against the Raptors on Monday in a rematch north of the border.
Luke Kennard

Luke Kennard (back) has been ruled out against the Raptors on Saturday.

Kennard was able to play 21 minutes off the bench on Friday but will be unavailable against Toronto. Keaton Wallace will likely make a return to the rotation, though he won’t see the floor enough to be worth streaming with the rest of the backcourt rotation healthy, sans Trae Young.

The Hawks are calling this “return to competition reconditioning”, but it’s really that they don’t want to play him on a back-to-back. Asa Newell and Mouhamed Gueye will fill out the backup center minutes behind Onyeka Okongwu.

This will be a fourth straight absence for Young, and he was immediately ruled out instead of being listed as questionable initially. It’s unclear how much longer he’ll remain sidelined, but Nickeil Alexander-Walker will remain in the starting lineup for at least one more game.

Dyson Daniels accumulated 11 points (5-of-8 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, eight assists and two steals in Friday’s win over the Knicks.

Daniels took on the task of defending Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, who had to work hard for his 24 points. The Great Barrier Thief’s defensive work only yielded two steals, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. From a fantasy standpoint, Daniels dished out eight assists, and managers also benefited from the six rebounds. He’s providing top-75 per-game value in eight-cat formats, with the foul shooting (60.3 percent) being the most significant issue.
