P.J. Washington posted 10 points (4-of-9 FGs), six rebounds, three assists, two steals, three blocks and two three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Warriors.

Active after missing the previous three games, Washington was used in a reserve role on Thursday. The forward played 22 minutes, eight shy of the limit set by the team. Washington didn’t have a prolific scoring night, but he filled up the stat sheet, which was excellent for those who have him rostered in category leagues. Caleb Martin remained in the starting lineup but only played 19 minutes, going scoreless with two rebounds, one assist and two blocked shots. Those who streamed Martin when Washington was unavailable can move on.

Cooper Flagg tallied 21 points (8-of-18 FGs, 4-of-7 FTs), 11rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Thursday’s win over the Warriors.

Before Thursday’s game, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said that Flagg could be limited to 20-25 minutes. Key word: could. The rookie played 30 minutes and showed no signs of being hampered by the sprained left ankle he suffered last week. Flagg recorded his sixth double-double of the season, and he has provided sixth-round per-game value in eight-cat formats over the past month.

Max Christie produced 21 points (7-of-16 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, two assists, one steal and five three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Warriors.

For the first time this season, Christie has scored at least 20 points in three consecutive games. And he’s flipped a switch since the holidays, with five of his six 20-point games occurring after Christmas. With Anthony Davis (hand) out for the foreseeable future, there will continue to be room for Christie to have a greater impact offensively. A top-100 player over the past two weeks, he’s rostered in 21 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and that number is too low.

Naji Mashall accumulated 30 points (10-of-12 FGs, 8-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, nine assists and two three-pointers in Thursday’s win over the Warriors.

A double-digit scorer in each of his last ten games, Marshall has scored 22 or more in four of his previous six. Thursday’s performance was one of the best of the Mavericks’ forward’s career, as he matched his season-high point total and finished one assist shy of a double-double. Over the past two weeks, Marshall has provided third-round per-game value in eight-cat formats. Rostered in 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Marshall should be added in more 12-team leagues.

Daniel Gafford (ankle) is out for Thursday’s game against the Warriors.

Gafford will miss a fourth consecutive game, leaving the Mavericks to once again rely on Dwight Powell and Moussa Cissé at the center position. While the former has been the starter, the latter offers a higher fantasy upside. At a minimum, Cissé is worth rostering in deep dynasty leagues.

Moussa Cissé (illness) is available to play against the Warriors on Thursday.

Cissé was initially listed as questionable but was upgraded to probable earlier in the day. He has now officially been cleared, and with Daniel Gafford (ankle) sidelined, he should play an important role off the bench, where he has averaged 11.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 21.6 minutes per game over his last three outings.
Moussa Cisse

Moussa Cissé (illness) is probable for Thursday’s game against the Warriors.

Cissé had been listed as questionable, so this is a step in the right direction for him. Meanwhile, Daniel Gafford (ankle) has been downgraded to doubtful, so Cissé should get a nice run of minutes. However, the Warriors don’t often play a traditional center, so the Mavericks could get by with lots of minutes for Naji Marshall and not need Cissé as much on Thursday.
P.J. Washington

Washington is back with the team after missing the last two games for personal reasons. His return likely means that Caleb Martin will head to the bench, where he offers minimal fantasy value.

D’Angelo Russell (illness) is not on the injury report for Thursday’s game against the Warriors.

A late scratch for Dallas’ January 17 game against the Jazz, Russell also sat out Monday’s win over the Knicks. His availability may affect Ryan Nembhard, who is still on a two-way contract. If the Mavericks make the undrafted rookie inactive, there will be rotation minutes for Russell. That said, there’s no need to roster him.

Daniel Gafford (ankle) is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Warriors.

Gafford has missed the Mavericks’ last three games with a sprained ankle. While Dwight Powell started Monday’s win over the Knicks, reserve Moussa Cissé was more productive. That will likely be the rotation on Thursday if Gafford remains out, but Cissé is also questionable due to an illness.
