Kyrie Irving accounted for 33 points (11-of-24 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, three steals, and three 3-pointers in 40 minutes in Monday’s 110-105 loss to Charlotte.

Irving has gotten back on track since shooting 4-of-18 from the field in his January 14 return from a back injury. He’s shot 20-of-43 from the field in his last two outings, scoring 58 points in games against Oklahoma City and Charlotte. Dallas plays three more games during Week 13, including a Wednesday/Thursday back-to-back. Fantasy managers certainly hope Irving is at the point where he will not need to miss a game for injury management reasons.
Daniel Gafford

Daniel Gafford played 34 minutes in Monday’s 110-105 loss to Charlotte, finishing with 31 points (12-of-15 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), 15 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three blocked shots.

With Dereck Lively II (ankle) sidelined for a third straight game, Gafford put on a show in Charlotte. Not only did he shoot 80% from the field, but the Mavericks center was perfect from the foul line. Add in the overall stat line, and Gafford’s performance exceeded the expectations of many fantasy managers. He’s provided 5th-round value over the past two weeks, and the Mavericks having three more games during Week 13 is excellent news for Gafford managers.
Dante Exum

DAL Shooting Guard #0

Jason Kidd told reporters Monday that Dante Exum (wrist) has no set timetable for return.

Exum hasn’t appeared in a game this season because of a wrist injury he underwent surgery for last fall. The Mavericks will likely continue to use Spencer Dinwiddie as their primary reserve guard for the foreseeable future.

DAL Shooting Guard #5

Quientin Grimes (back spasms) has been ruled out for Monday’s Hornets-Mavericks game.

Grimes unexpectedly popped up on the injury report despite being a healthy contributor for Dallas as of late. A host of reserve wings could help fill in for Grimes against Charlotte.
Dereck Lively II

Dereck Lively II (right ankle sprain) has been ruled out for Monday’s Hornets-Mavericks game.

Lively is set to miss his third consecutive game after injuring his ankle against the Nuggets. Daniel Gafford will continue to hold down the fort at center during the second-year big man’s absence.

Dereck Lively II (right ankle sprain) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Hornets.

After appearing to suffer a serious ankle injury during a January 14 loss to the Nuggets, Lively may only miss two games. He’s questionable for Monday’s game, and his return would give Dallas a welcome boost in the frontcourt. Daniel Gafford has been the starting center, with Maxi Kleber providing additional depth off the bench.
Dwight Powell

Dwight Powell (right hip strain) is out for Monday’s game against Charlotte.

Injured during Friday’s game against Oklahoma City, Powell will not be available for Monday’s game. His absence does not impact fantasy basketball, especially if Dereck Lively II (questionable) can return from his sprained ankle.
Jaden Hardy

Jaden Hardy (right ankle sprain) is out for Monday’s game against Charlotte.

Injured during Friday’s win over Oklahoma City, Hardy will miss at least one complete game. Quentin Grimes and Spencer Dinwiddie, already ahead of Hardy in the rotation, can absorb his minutes. Both are worth considering, with Luka Doncic (calf) out of the lineup.
PJ Washington

PJ Washington had 16 points (6-of-8 FGs), seven rebounds, five assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers against the Thunder.

Washington has been a very reliable option with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving each missing their share of games this season. The 26-year-old power forward isn’t an elite fantasy option, but he’s steady. With Doncic out again Friday, Washington had 16 points on eight shots, seven rebounds, five assists and chipped in with a steal and a block on defense. He does a little bit of everything, which has led to Washington providing 10th-round fantasy value over the last two weeks.
Kyrie Irving

DAL Point Guard #11

Kyrie Irving had 25 points (9-of-19 FGs), five rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in the Mavericks’ 106-98 victory over the Thunder on Friday.

Irving returned Friday after just a one-game absence with a back injury. The 32-year-old point guard had one of his better games. Without Luka Doncic, Irving had no trouble leading the Mavericks in points and shot attempts. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also out of the Thunder, Irving’s 25 points were enough to be a game-high and the Mavericks pulled out an eight-point victory. Irving even played 39 minutes, which suggests he might not need to miss more games to rest his back in the future.
