Smith was limited to 24 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Raptors, which factored into Guerschon Yabusele playing 33 minutes off the bench in his Bulls’ debut. Chicago would rely on Yabusele even more on Saturday if Smith can’t play, and Nick Richards will also be available.

Saturday’s game will be the ninth that Jones has missed, having last appeared in a game on January 22. With the Bulls adding Jaden Ivey, Anfernee Simons and Collin Sexton to the roster at the trade deadline, there’s little to gain from holding onto Jones in most fantasy leagues.

Giddey was initially questionable for Wednesday’s loss to the Raptors, but did not play, which led to rotation minutes off the bench for Yuki Kawamura and Mac McClung. Jaden Ivey, who started his Bulls debut, is the player to target if he’s sitting on the waiver wire, and Collin Sexton will also be available on Saturday.

After failing to crack the Knicks’ rotation on most nights, Yabusele appears to have a new lease on life in Chicago. While he did come off the bench in his Bulls’ debut, the 6-foot-8 forward logged 33 minutes and recorded his first double-double of the season. Expecting Yabusele to make nights like Thursday the norm after one performance would be unrealistic. However, given the role and Chicago’s lack of healthy frontcourt players, he’s worth taking a flier on.

Anfernee Simons accounted for 22 points (8-of-15 FGs), two rebounds, three assists, one block and six three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Raptors.

A reserve during his time with the Celtics, Simons is back in a starting role with his trade to Chicago. While it’s clear that he and Jaden Ivey have work to do in establishing their on-court chemistry, Simons had a productive night in Toronto. Despite the decreased role in Boston, he remained rostered in 75 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Those who stuck it out with Simons have a good chance of being rewarded for their patience.

Jaden Ivey finished Thursday’s loss to the Raptors with 13 points (5-of-12 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, three steals and three three-pointers.

In his Bulls’ debut, Ivey logged 33 minutes, a far cry from the playing time that he was getting in Detroit. While the move to the Windy City means that he’ll likely miss out on a chance to compete for a championship this season, it does allow Ivey to show that he can run a team. He’s rostered in 16 percent of Yahoo! leagues, but that number should increase with Ivey now in Chicago.

Anfernee Simons, Jaden Ivey, Isaac Okoro, Matas Buzelis and Jalen Smith will start Thursday’s game against the Raptors.

Ivey and Simons will make their Bulls’ debuts on Thursday, and they’ll do so as starters. Chicago traded Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu in separate trades before the deadline, opening up spots for Ivey and Simons. Also, Guerschon Yabusele is available despite his trade from the Knicks being executed late Wednesday night.

Bucks have traded Nick Richards to the Bulls in exchange for Ousmane Dieng.

Richards was rerouted from Milwaukee after initially being traded from Phoenix. The initial trade was expanded to include Dieng, with the first deal sending Richards and Nigel Hayes-Davis to the Bucks for Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey. Chicago traded Nikola Vucevic already, so Richards will be in the center rotation alongside Jalen Smith and Zach Collins. Smith should start, but he may not be the coveted option for the rest of the season that managers were hoping he would be if Richards takes away some of his minutes.

Jones was made available for Chicago’s last game, but he didn’t see the floor. Now, he’s been ruled out for this one. Jaden Ivey is expected to be available, and Collin Sexton could make his debut as well, which should help fill some of the guard minutes with Jones out.

Bulls signed guard Mac McClung to a two-way contract.

The three-time NBA Dunk Contest champion appeared in three games for the Pacers earlier this season and two games for the Magic last year. He’s averaging just 5.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in nine NBA games over his four-year career.
