Devin Carter (back) is questionable for Monday’s matchup with Memphis.

Carter’s late addition to Monday’s injury report doesn’t bode well for his availability. If Carter is unable to take the court, Malik Monk and Nique Clifford should see a boost in minutes, making both guards appealing streamers for the small slate.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Killian Hayes has signed a 10-day contract with the Kings.

The former top-10 pick will get another chance to make an NBA comeback. He’ll be with Sacramento for the rest of the month, and he should be able to fill some backcourt minutes, though managers should steer clear of this situation.
Malik Monk

Malik Monk tallied 19 points (8-of-16 FGs), one rebound, six assists, one steal and three three-pointers in Saturday’s loss to the Spurs.

Monk played 28 minutes off the bench, getting most of the backup point guard minutes in Saturday’s defeat. To his credit, he played well, committing just one turnover and shooting 50 percent from the field. However, it’s fair to wonder if Monk will get point guard minutes at Devin Carter’s expense the rest of the season. The 2024 first-round pick played just six minutes against the Spurs after averaging nearly 27 per over Sacramento’s prior six games. For the sake of the Kings’ rebuild, Carter should play more over the final two months of the season. But that may not be head coach Doug Christie’s opinion.
Maxime Raynaud

Maxime Raynaud amassed 16 points (6-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 12 rebounds, three assists and one block in Saturday’s loss to the Spurs.

Raynaud has recorded a double-double in three of his last four games, continuing to provide solid value as Domantas Sabonis’ replacement in the starting lineup. While his first stint at the starter did not make the rookie a must-roster player, he is now, since Sabonis won’t return this season. Over the past two weeks, Raynaud has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats. The Kings play four games in Week 18, starting with the Grizzlies on Monday.
Keegan Murray

Keegan Murray finished Saturday’s loss to the Spurs with 20 points (7-of-16 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), two rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers.

After scoring 15 points in his first game back from a sprained ankle on Thursday, Murray put up 20 as part of a complete stat line on Saturday. Also of note for the Kings forward was that he played a team-high 36 minutes. While DeMar DeRozan (20/1/5/2/1 in 35 minutes) and Russell Westbrook (7/3/2/1/1 with one three-pointer in 21 minutes) don’t appear to be part of the Kings’ long-term plans, Murray should be the priority over the final two months of the regular season. If the Kings take that approach, it should bode well for fantasy managers who have him rostered.
De'Andre Hunter

NBA insiders Chris Haynes and Marc Stein report that De’Andre Hunter (eye) underwent season-ending surgery.

While Hunter practiced on Wednesday, he has not appeared in a game since a February 6 loss to the Clippers. The wing, acquired from the Cavaliers at the trade deadline, was inadvertently struck in the left eye by Clippers wing Kobe Sanders, resulting in left eye iritis. Further evaluations revealed a detached retina, prompting Friday’s procedure. Hunter is the third Kings rotation player to be ruled out for the rest of the season, joining Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis. Hunter’s absence means more playing time for Nique Clifford and Daeqwon Plowden, with the former being a player who should be rostered for the rest of the season.

De’Andre Hunter (eye) is out for Saturday’s game against the Spurs.

Hunter will remain out for a fourth consecutive game as he continues to recover from left eye iritis. With Keegan Murray making his return on Thursday, Hunter’s absence led to Daeqwon Plowden playing ten minutes off the bench. There’s no need to stream Plowden while the Kings await Hunter’s return.
Precious Achiuwa

Precious Achiuwa finished Thursday’s loss to the Magic with 14 points (7-of-12 FGs), 10 rebounds, one assist, four steals and two blocks.

Achiuwa did a little bit of everything for the Kings on Thursday. On offense, he shot well and finished as one of the team’s leading scorers. And on defense, he was all over the glass in his 34 minutes of game action, with his efforts leading to a double-double. Meanwhile, he was being versatile enough on that end of the floor to combine for six stocks. Thursday’s performance will go down as one of Achiuwa’s most productive of the season — he will have a chance to log another good performance against the Spurs on Saturday.

Maxime Raynaud logged 17 points (8-of-13 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), 14 rebounds, four assists and one steal in Thursday’s loss to the Magic.

Raynaud put together another strong line on Thursday in what’s been a rookie season filled with them. With Domantas Sabonis officially out for the season (knee), the path appears clear for Raynaud to be Sacramento’s full-time starting center for the remainder of the year. As he’s proven throughout the season in a starting role, the production should remain so long as his health does too. Raynaud is someone fantasy managers should consider making a move for, if possible.
Keegan Murray

SAC Forward #13

Keegan Murray added 15 points (6-of-13 FGs), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and three three-pointers in the loss to the Magic on Thursday.

Murray took the floor for the first time in over a month and finished with a solid overall stat line. He played 32 minutes, despite the score being as one-sided as it was, and did most of his damage from behind the three-point line. Murray also did well on the glass and finished just a couple of boards shy of a double-double. Thursday marked just the 20th game of the season for the versatile forward who’s had unfortunate injuries in his fourth NBA season. If he can start to string together some games, the rust should come off, and his production could increase.
