Former NBA All-Star Clifford Robinson is going to be on the next season of Survivor.
This was actually hinted at by Trey Kerby of The Starters (which you should be watching, it’s great) on NBA TV, but nothing was official. Now, Robinson himself made it official.
Robinson had an 18-year NBA career, which included being the Sixth Man of the Year (1993) and twice being named to the second team NBA All-Defensive team. The former UConn star is best remembered for his years with the Blazers but he also played in Detroit, Phoenix and New Jersey.
Robinson, 47, also was recently part of Dennis Rodman’s exhibition game in North Korea, which was bathed in controversy. Robinson admitted regrets when it was over.
As Lang Whitaker noted at NBA.com’s All-Ball, former athletes on Survivor often try to lie about their former profession. Robinson is 6’10”, so good luck with that.
