I’m going to save you the time of looking this up on Snopes.com — yes, Michele Obama is putting together a hip-hop compilation album. As part of her campaign to lower childhood obesity rates in the United States, she is putting together “Songs for a Healthier America” which is supposed to get kids up off the couch and dancing.

That’s good in intention, at least. But it’s not the interesting part for us:

Knicks two guard and defensive stopper Iman Shumpert is going to have a song on the album.

Shumpert’s tune is called “Pass the Rock” and is with Artie Green. You can just make up your own joke about how that song was originally written about Carmelo Anthony.

Outside of being a collector’s item in 20 years I’m not sure that this really serves much of a purpose. But again, good intentions so we’ll just let the rest of it slide for now.

XXLMag.com has some details and the entire album listing:

1. U R What You Eat featuring Salad Bar (Matisyahu, Ariana Grande, Travis Barker)
2. Everybody featuring Jordin Sparks, Doug E. Fresh, Dr Oz, Ryan Beatty, Hip Hop MD
3. Let’s Move featuring Doug E. Fresh, Artie Green, Chauncey Hawkins

The album drops Sept. 30, so put an alert in your calendar now.
