A lot of things went wrong for the Pacers on opening night, in which they lost to the Wizards 114-107.
Things started going wrong before the game even started: Center Myles Turner stepped on a ball boy’s foot during warmups and rolled his ankle. Turner did not play against Washington because of it.
Turner’s ankle sprain is not considered serious, Rick Carlisle said. https://t.co/iRSrNVS5Zp

Exactly what not serious means remains to be seen. The Pacers have a home back-to-back Friday and Saturday against the Spurs and Pacers.
Turner has seen his name in trade rumors all summer, often linked to the Lakers in a deal that has not come together. Los Angeles is far from the only team who reached out to Indiana, for more than a year, multiple teams have flirted with the idea of Turner, an elite shot blocker who can also stretch the floor from 3. Turner is in the final year of his contract and will be a free agent who draws a lot of interest next summer.
