Last November, veteran forward Josh Powell took a job with the Rockets’ coaching staff, effectively ending his playing career. He had appeared in one game the previous season with Houston after being out of the league for the two years before that.
Apparently, Powell believes his playing days are not yet over. Yahoo’s Shams Charania reports that he is leaving the Rockets’ staff to take another shot at it, signing a non-guaranteed training camp deal with the Bucks:

It’s probably a long shot that Powell makes the Bucks’ regular-season roster, but if he feels he can contribute still and wants a chance to prove it, more power to him.
