Andrew Wiggins is going to win Rookie of the Year.
He leads rookies, by a sizable margin, in two key stats for predicting the award.
Points per game:
Points plus rebounds plus plus assists per game:
Moreover, Wiggins – who’s averaging 16.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game – has played more games than most of his chief competition, which is shown by the width of the bars in the above charts.
Just in case, though, the Timberwolves are sending voters these socks:

Clever.
If only Minnesota could send clothing that shows Wiggins clearly deserves Rookie of the Year. Though he’s a shoe-in to win the award, Nikola Mirotic and Nerlens Noel making compelling cases for it. They’ve been more impactful in smaller roles, perhaps enough so to overtake Wiggins.
Again, that matters only so much. Wiggins is going to win.
