With 4:34 remaining in the third quarter of Utah’s eventual loss to Sacramento Monday night, Jazz big man Enes Kanter flashed into the middle of the key and got a nice pass from Dante Exum. Kanter tried to establish position to go up for a shot and shuffled his feet. It was a pretty clear travel and the officials called it.

Kanter didn’t like the call (or was just frustrated), he slammed the ball down then threw his mouthpiece into the crowd. That earned him a technical foul at the time.

Tuesday it earned him a $25,000 fine from the league. That was pretty much expected.

Although the guy that caught it didn’t mind (but he didn’t get to keep it).
